Counting Clouds, Workshop, and Tips on Publishing

But that's not all that the show entails.

A show?

Yes, a show. A radio show in fact. The following link will take to the correct site. All you need to do is click the little icon that has a little guy and radio waves around him. Doing so will open your iTunes (if you don't have it, either download it for free or find someone who does have it) and all you have to do after that is click on "podcasts".

Those of you who know me also know that I have recently been given carte blanche over a radio show on BlogTalkRadio. This means that I can and will ask to interview a select few deviants over the course of my time there. The first show, however, will feature counting clouds, a workshop, tips on both traditional and self-publishing, and friendly advice. Listeners are provided a call-in number, and I will be accepting questions at regular intervals during the show.

Again, those of you who know me also know that I have held a significant amount of contest over the past two years. Most of those contests have been poetry. So, the question arises: Is this workshop going to be for poetry or prose?

With a lot of listeners comes a lot of variety, therefore, poets and prosaic writers will be able to participate in the same workshop. And yes, you will be able to send in your piece for critique.

Have you ever wondered about publishing? What about an agent? It's said that acquiring a trusted agent and/or the right publishing house is much harder than actually writing a book and editing it at least twenty times. From experience, I can easily say that what you've heard is true -- especially for the poets.

I will say right now that there are more simpler ways to find a publisher/agent. And I will provide the resources for you. So, what do you have to lose? It's only thirty minutes of listening and learning.

Hopefully, you'll tune in on October 16th at 11:00pm EST
